Disney Hop for Rett Syndrome Awareness

Welcome to the First Annual Blog Hop for...

Rett Syndrome Awareness

Your first stop should have been at Robin Lane's Blog, if you did not start there please go back to the beginning...

What is Rett Syndrome? Rett Syndrome is a devastating neurologic developmental disorder that occurs almost exclusively in girls. It is usually caused by a mutation of the MECP2 gene on the X chromosome. Rett Syndrome is found in all racial and ethnic groups throughout the world, and in every socioeconomic class. Rett Syndrome affects 1 in 15,000 female births.

Early developmental milestones appear normal, but between 6-18 months of age, there is a delay or regression in development, particularly affecting speech, hand skills and coordination. A hallmark of Rett Syndrome is the repetitive hand movements that may include seizures, irregular breathing, swallowing difficulties, and curvature of the spine. Many individuals with Rett Syndrome live well into adulthood.
There is currently no cure.

We will have two lucky winners from this weekends blog hop.

Altered Journal Blog Hop

Welcome to our  Altered Journal Blog Hop! If you came here from Jenn then you are on the right track! If you happen to stumble upon this hop you can begin hopping at our host Melissa
is donating 2 Cuttlebug Folders

I also have a wee bit of blog candy for one lucky commenter/follower.
1 scarecrow sticker pack and 1 fall sticker pack

This is my project that I want to share. First I want to show you the altered notebooks that the girls in my youth tween class made. They worked so hard on them and I know that they are very proud of their prayer journals. They have already written several prayers in their journals.

The girls have also decorated the inside and I will share more later on another post. My prayer journal is for a dear friend of mine that is also a youth leader at our church. I certainly hope that she enjoys it. I think that I am going to do some more work on the inside before I give it to her.

Christmas Tag Swap Blog Hop

Blog Hops I am in

I have joined a club that is called Scraps to Treasures and we have different little treats for you to view in the upcoming months.
For this blog hop we were to make Christmas Tags out of our scraps. I was allowed to use some tags that I already had and then use my scraps to make them pretty.
This is what I came up with:
I used CTMH stamp, ink, stickles, Martha Stewart leaf and owl punch.
Here is a close up of the trees. I really love how they seem to have a glow about them.
I even put a star on the top of the trees.

Hope that you have enjoyed our little blog hop as we use
up some of our scraps.
Next your off to visit Liz Cline Just click on her name
and off you go!!
We have a special present for you: Two lucky hoppers will

win a set of tags that were featured in this hop! To be

eligible to win, you need to leave a comment on EACH blog
