See the two cute little girls in the middle of the picture? The one on the right is my daughter Kaitlyn. She is in the 5th grade this year. For a class project, they were to bring in a ceremony piece for their teacher. Kaitlyn chose to make a flower vase totally from nature. She took one of my birdhouse gourds that Scott grew for me to craft with and emptied it out. Next she took sandpaper and lightly sanded it off and then washed it. We drilled holes around the nape of the neck of the gourd and put Marigolds down in that part. Next Scott gathered flowers from the garden that he and Kaitlyn planted and Kaitlyn put them in the vase. Isn't she so talented??

DeleteIt is advisable to select a vase that blends with the flowers as well the room décor. Moreover, they should also serve as decorative items even when they are without flowers.
